Components & Features

What Goes Into  a Home Theater

A home theater can be as simple or as elaborate as you want it to be.

Some clients want a clean, dedicated movie room with a projector, surround sound, and a starry sky ceiling. Others want something fully custom, themed, and built from the ground up. We’ve all seen the extreme examples, full Star Wars-inspired theaters with custom entrances, hidden doors, and themed lighting.

The video shows an example of what’s possible when a theater is designed without limits. This project was not installed by Perfect Angle AV. It’s shared purely for inspiration to show the level of creativity that can be achieved.

That level of detail is possible when it’s designed correctly.

The point is, it’s not one-size-fits-all.

During your consultation, we walk through your space, your goals, and your budget. From there, we design the system around you.

Custom Include

A custom home theater can include:

Projector & Screen

Sony native 4K or Epson laser projectors paired with professionally selected screens for true cinematic performance.

Surround Sound System

In-wall, in-ceiling, or custom speaker configurations engineered for immersive audio placement.

Luxury Lighting

Dimmable lighting, fiber optic star ceilings, wall sconces, step lights, or a completely themed lighting design, depending on your vision.

Luxury Theater Seating

Reclining rows, tiered platforms, or custom seating layouts designed for proper sight lines.

AV Rack

Centralized, organized equipment racks built clean and serviceable for long-term reliability.

Control System

Control4 or Crestron integration so audio, video, lighting, and shades operate from a single interface.

Motorized Shades

If the space requires light control, we integrate automated shades that lower automatically when movie mode starts.

Acoustic Treatment

Panels and sound control solutions to improve clarity and prevent echo.

Hidden enclosures, themed wall, specialty lighting screens, integrated gaming setups, built-in border speaker integration, or a simple, clean design with zero visual distraction — we build around your preference. Nothing is permanent. We give you the options and help you decide what makes sense for your space.

The Case for Cinema at Home

Why Invest in
a Home Theater?

A dedicated home theater changes how you experience movies, sports, and family time. It creates a private space to unwind in immersive visuals and powerful audio — everything with a single press of a button.

Superior Audio & Visual

Home theaters provide significantly better audio (surround sound) and visual quality (large screens/projectors) compared to standard TV setups, offering true cinematic immersion.

Convenience & Control

Users can watch movies on their own schedule, avoiding crowded theaters, noise, and high concession costs. It also allows for total control over lighting and the entertainment experience.

Multifunctional Space

Beyond movies, these spaces are used for high-end gaming, streaming, and watching live sports — often serving as a central hub for all family entertainment.

Customization & Comfort

The room can be designed to personal taste with specialized seating, thermostatic décor, and acoustic treatments to maximize comfort and acoustics.

Home Value & Appeal

A well-designed home theater can increase the overall value of a home, making it more appealing to potential buyers, particularly furniture.

Socializing

It provides a unique venue for hosting gatherings, parties, and movie nights with friends and family.
